This paper is an annual research report on China’s automotive industry development，an authoritative work co-authored by experts and scholars from the Research Department of Industrial Economy under the Development Research Center of the Chinese State Council and the Society of Automotive Engineers of China in consultation with senior advisors from the sector and under the support of Volkswagen.

The paper consists of four parts，namely general analysis of development，predictions and outlook，special focuses，statistics and data compilation，providing encompassing analysis on recent development dynamics，prosperity status and international competitiveness.
