China-Africa Poverty Reduction and Development Seminar-the Development of SEZs in China and the Poverty Reduction，which is jointly hosted by IPRCC and UNDP，and undertook by China Center for Special Economic Zone Research at Shenzhen University，was convoked from January 9th to 13th，2012 in Shenzhen. The main purpose of the seminar was probing into how African countries accelerate their economic and social development，reducing poverty and implementing the progress of Millennium Development Goals by referencing the experience of China’s economic development and investment policy. The African Minister，H.E Hailemeskel Tefera，summarized the basic lessons of the seminar on the building the sustainable development cooperation Sino-African relationship.
